Team 1001 Stories occasionally conducts training and internship programs for young, aspiring professionals. This sticky post provides basic information on the application process for the upcoming cohorts.
1. What is the hiring process at 1001 Stories? Can I send my CV to one of the team members directly?
At 1001, we take a Context Architecture driven, multidisciplinary approach to solve problems. For full time roles, Team 1001 prefers to hire folks who have been a part of the training program or have interned with us in the past.
Due to existing work load and our clearly laid down process of hiring, our team members will not be able to review / respond to direct inquiries / emails. The right way to apply is via the training program process.
2. What is the process for lateral hiring? Do you work with freelancers / consultants on project basis?
- At this point, 1001 is focused on hiring from its pool of ex trainees + interns only.
- We may occasionally work with freelancers / consultants based on the need of the project.
3. How do I apply for internship with 1001?
Our interns work with us as full time members on live client projects and are paid a monthly stipend. The internship focuses on how to use Context Architecture™ to create better products, brands and people.
Internship at 1001 is offered only to those who have already completed our training program.
4. Who can apply for the training program?
We are background agnostic. Deep curiosity, observational and reflection skills, and comfort with continuously learning from different disciplines are critical. Having one’s own point of view of the world is important. The ability to refine and reconstruct that worldview as data and the world exposes you to newer perspectives is even better.
We prefer folks who have already completed their degrees in the last 2 years or are in the final semester. The program is demanding and will need an investment of 4-6 hours daily from the cohort.
5. What is the application process like?
a. All applicants are expected to complete an assignment. The assignment changes for each training cohort. Here is an old assignment for one of the previous programs.👇https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zPjwhmLzQN92FZhxcNXeK2ERcYoEayRV/view?usp=share_link
b. The completed assignment should be uploaded to a designated online folder link (which will be shared along with the assignment)
c. The selection team, after evaluating your assignment, may reach out for a final interview round.
Meanwhile, please be patient and kindly avoid messaging the team members at 1001 for updates, as they will not have any direct information to share with you.
d. Once you clear the final interview, training details will be shared with you.
e. Please note there are limited seats in the training batch and we receive a lot of applications from deserving folks. If you do not make the cut, it does’t mean you are lacking in a particular quality. It just means we do not have a separate training team and are trying to get work done for our Clients and teach young aspirants, at the same time. Please bear with us.
6. What does the training program cover?
The training program is aimed towards a single objective – How to ask the right question?
We do not teach Research / Behavioural Solution Design / Context Architecture / Behavioural Science / Problem Solving Frameworks etc during the training program.
The program’s heart lies in a better understanding of human behaviour and how it helps solve real-world problems by asking the right questions.
7. What is the fee for the Program?
What other details can be shared?
a. There is no fee charged for the training program.
b. The training is hybrid, conducted on zoom and in person. We prefer folks who can join in person.
You may have to conduct field visits.
c. Trainees are expected to put in four hours daily towards the program in addition to the training session.
d. The program lasts approximately 4 – 6 weeks.
Sessions are typically conducted 2-3 times a week for approx 2 hours.
e. There are no prerequisites or pre-reading materials for the training.
8. When is the next training program for 2025?
There is a possibility we may conduct a program in June / July 2025.
At this point, we do not have a clear date.
We will update this section with the date once we have finalised it.
